Failed Liverpol Trip

LIVERPOOLREFLECTIONSNIGHT

We were really clever the other day. After work we headed to Liverpool for the River of Light… er… thing, which took a bit of time because the Sat Nav directed us a weird way, and into traffic. Add to the fact that there was some Abba thing at the arena, so we struggled through that traffic too.

So we found our way to the light installations and Mrs. S decided that it was time for the loo, and while we were at it, we may as well get something for tea. So we went to an Asian restaurant on the waterfront and left fully restored.

What we didn’t know was that all of the exhibits at the River of Light thing closed at 9pm, and the time was 9:01, so for the rest of the night we wandered around the dark exhibits on the waterfront… which was nice. Anyway I snapped this one when walking past the Open Eye Gallery, not sure what I liked about it, other than it looks a little retro in my head anyway.

The purple tower is the Queensway Tunnel Ventilation Tower, which is quite ornate for just ventilation. The tower is reflected in the outside wall of the Open Eye Gallery.

The only other good pictures taken that night are of the Liver Building, which I am sure I will share in time.
