Flowers and Flour
CHOLMONDELEY CASTLECASTLEMILL
It’s been a while since we went for a walk in Cholmmodely Castle grounds. In fact it was 2008 and I was pretty sure it was a long time before that. However, the last time we went to the grounds itself was the last Pageant of Power which was really impressive and superb for taking pictures of. It was around that time that the Vulcan was doing it’s last rounds.
Anyway, enough of the past. We had a lovely walk and it was quite quiet too owing to the fact that it looked like it’s more of a summer/spring location. Despite that the flowers were out and we were one of about 10 cars in the car park and the weather wasn’t so bad. I mean the light was bad for taking pictures, Overcast weather as I have probably said before is horrible light. Despite what it feels like, everything is lit from everywhere meaning very few shadows and a rather flattened look to everything. Despite that I did take a few. I thought that this one was the best, giving some depth with the castle in the background..
The cafe wasn’t half bad either and ended up being one of two coffees and cakes we had that day after heading to Bunbury Mill afterwards which was completely different, but very interesting and worth a visit. In fact it was so interesting I was too bust being interested that I had not time to take any pictures.
