Leaf Botanics
GARDENLEAFSWEDEN
It was fine weather when we visited the Botanical Gardens in Gothenburg which of course made the trip a load better. I’m sure it’s great to walk around when the weather isn’t so great, but when it’s bright sun most places are more pleasant to walk around.
It’s a lovely park to walk around with a greenhouse and an even bigger greenhouse in the making that is supposed to be ready for 2026 which I believe will contain animal exhibits like poison dart frogs and the like. They were working on the structure when we were there in the Saturday.
Despite the ice weather, I spotted this, which I can only assume that there were sprinklers are there was not enough rain for these leaves to capture so much rain. But I couldn’t resist taking a bit of a macro shot of this leaf. I also like the fact that because the background is very dark because of the undergrowth, it seems to make the weather appear less sunny, and yet it was bright sunshine. I also love the fact that there are so many drops on this leaf, as well as the fact that they seem almost organised in some ways, with some of the drops radiating outwards.
For those interested, visiting the gardens is free, though you can donate to the upkeep, but it’s well worth a stroll.
