GEOMETRICMONOCHROMEBUILDING
This week called for a walk around Manchester to see what I could see. At the start of the day, it didn’t look good, the weather was overcast and grey, but just before I was thinking about calling the trip off, it brightened up, so off I went. Even so, the winter sun was making things difficult, but I think I got the best out of the weather. Despite the huge loop around Manchester, which took in the Northern Quarter, The Arndale, The Cathedral, into Salford and past the Lowery Hotel and then along the canals on from First Street and then back to Piccadilli via Whitworth Street. Despite the 4 mile walk, I completely forgot to see what the wheel looked like which I think has been recently installed somewhere, I think it’s outside the Town Hall, but I could be wrong.
Either way, I thought this was a nice photo, well I like it, a bit of minimalism and lots of geometric lines. It’s a colour photo, but the building is silver so it looks black and white with the sun reflecting off the walls. I have no idea what the building is, but on Google Maps it says it’s UA92, so I’m willing to believe it since the letters are about 20ft high.
It’s not the only photo I took, but it’s one of the best ones as far as I am concerned.
