On Reflection
REFLECTIONSBUDAPESTFISHERMANS BASTION

After so many images from Canada I went from lots of pictures to nothing, because I have just not been anywhere good since then. It’s a pity as I do like to head out with a plan to see something interesting, but plans have put a stop on that, so I thought that I would bring you this one.
I had a few pictures that used to be up on the wall and were removed and ended up in the loft. Anyway, long story short, I brought them down as they just existed in print form and nothing else and wanted to capture them at some point, and after failing to find someone to scan them in for a reasonable rate, I just took a picture of them.
I don’t think this one ended up too bad. It’s an image of the Fisherman's Bastion in Budapest reflected in the Hilton Hotel. Now I can never remember whether this is Buda or Pest (as they are two towns in one), but I think it’s Pest, but I am sure I am wrong. I am also sure since this was taken just over 20 years ago then it may no longer be the Hilton… actually I can Google and it is the Hilton still, so that’s good… I suppose.
This of course is a shot taken on film and I think on a Minolta X500, or it could be a Rollie 35B, but I reckon it’s the Minolta. That’s one thing you can’t do for old photos is look up the EXIF data and see what camera took it. Though the excitement of seeing what you have got still exists as the camera LCD still is a poor comparison to the output.
