The One Pound Pig (Adjusting for Inflation)
PARKANIMALGUINEA PIG
OK so I have been busy again, which is annoying, because really I was hoping to go our for a walk this weekend, but it was not to be. Here’s hoping next weekend will be better. So for now you’ll have to deal with a picture in May. We went to Greenacres Animal Park . I have a picture of a Rhea from there, so it’s a place that has much to see and worth a visit if you’re in the area.
This little chap is looking quite content, though what with the zoom lens being fully extended and the wide open aperture, then depth of field was pretty limited, and what with this year (2024) being not that great for picture taking (let’s hope with more free time 2025 will be better) I was making stupid mistakes. Such as this one. Which was to have such a tight depth of field and yet focus on the middle when taking the picture. So the snout of this furry chap is just not as sharp as I would like. In reality I could have focused on the snout and then re-positioned to frame it better. Harder to do on a moving animal, but you don’t get issues like this. Despite this, it’s perfectly acceptable in small form. Blow that up to A3 and the issue will get worse. It’s nothing you can detect if you view the preview either with the small screens on DSLRs
